Brooke Matthews earned her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. While in law school, Brooke interned with an immigration law firm helping clients successfully achieve asylum status in the United States. Brooke also worked for a labor union, the Major League Soccer Players Association, which solidified her passion for labor and employment law. Brooke also served as the Senior Technical Editor for the American University Law Review, and worked as a Dean’s Fellow, teaching first year law students about legal writing, research, and citation skills. Prior to law school, Brooke earned her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Gettysburg College, where she also played collegiate field hockey. In her free time, Brooke enjoys watching New England sports teams, going to trivia, and skiing in the winter.
