Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to firm attorneys by performing a variety of legal secretarial duties, and performing operational tasks to support the functioning of the office. If you have a strong attention to detail, a good sense of humor, are a hard worker and possess the desire to be part of a team, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities/Duties
  • Answer phones; screen and direct calls as appropriate
  • Put correspondence and documents into standard format
  • Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange conference calls
  • Create, revise and proofread letters and various legal documents
  • Create and maintain electronic files
  • Utilize various office machines and software to transmit data, print, duplicate, fax and PDF
  • Make arrangements for restaurant reservations, travel, transportation and accommodations
  • Prepare and process client bills
  • Assist with bookkeeping as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualities
  • Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
  • Skilled typing ability and knowledge of Windows, software, and related applications
  • Proficiency in MS Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to use diplomacy and discretion in relaying information
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Office experience
  • BA/BS required
