Rodman Employment Law Attorneys Selected to the 2026 Massachusetts Super Lawyers® List

Date

Needham, MA — May 2026 — Rodman Employment Law is proud to announce that three of the firm’s attorneys have once again been selected to the 2026 Massachusetts Super Lawyers® list:

  • Chuck Rodman, Founding Partner
  • Elisa A. Filman, Managing Partner
  • Michael V. Parras, Jr., Partner and Head of Litigation

The recognition marks a milestone year for all three. This is Chuck’s eleventh consecutive year on the list. For Michael, it is his sixth consecutive year. Elisa, who spent nine years on the Massachusetts Rising Stars list before earning full Super Lawyer status, has now been named to the Super Lawyers list for the third consecutive year.

Super Lawyers is an independent rating service recognizing attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selection involves peer nominations, independent research, and evaluation on twelve indicators of professional standing. Fewer than five percent of attorneys in Massachusetts receive the designation in any given year.

This recognition is part of a broader pattern. The firm and its attorneys have also earned individual Best Lawyers® honors, Best Law Firms® recognition, and a place on Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston list, each for multiple consecutive years.

Chuck Rodman, Founding Partner

Chuck Rodman founded Rodman Employment Law to build something Boston’s large litigation firms don’t always offer: a practice where clients facing the most consequential employment and business disputes get senior, experienced attention from start to finish.

Chuck began his legal career as a criminal prosecutor at the Office of the Miami-Dade County State Attorney, one of the largest prosecutor’s offices in the nation, where he tried numerous cases across the Domestic Violence and Juvenile Units. He went on to represent individuals and businesses at several of Boston’s most prominent litigation firms, and in 2003 founded his own boutique practice before ultimately building Rodman Employment Law into the firm it is today.

His practice spans a wide range of employment and civil matters, including discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour disputes, severance negotiations, partnership disputes, civil rights violations, and other complex litigation. He has also served as COO and General Counsel to a national consulting firm and has experience counseling employers across all aspects of their employment practices. Chuck appears regularly in Massachusetts state and federal courts and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

Eleven consecutive years on the Super Lawyers list places Chuck among a very small group of Massachusetts attorneys. It reflects not a single standout year but a career defined by sustained achievement and the trust of his peers.

Elisa A. Filman, Managing Partner

Elisa Filman’s path to this recognition stretches back well over a decade. Before earning full Super Lawyer status, she spent nine years on the Massachusetts Rising Stars list, among the top 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys in the state. She has now held full Super Lawyer status for three consecutive years. For Elisa, this is not an arrival. It is a continuation.

As Managing Partner, Elisa leads the firm’s day-to-day operations while maintaining an active litigation practice representing both employees and employers. Her work covers wrongful termination, discrimination, family and medical leave, whistleblower protections, wage and hour laws, and the negotiation of employment agreements at all stages of the employment relationship. She appears regularly before Massachusetts courts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and her practice includes representation in administrative proceedings, mediation, and negotiation.

Beyond her legal work, Elisa serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of REACH Beyond Domestic Violence in Waltham. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and her B.A. from Scripps College.

Michael V. Parras, Jr., Partner and Head of Litigation

Six consecutive years on the Super Lawyers list is a mark of consistency that very few litigators in Massachusetts can claim. For Michael Parras, it reflects a practice built on complex, high-stakes disputes and a record of results across a wide range of matters.

As Head of Litigation, Mike represents individuals and businesses in employment disputes, non-competition and trade secret cases, breaches of fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, unpaid commission claims, professional liability matters, and emergency business litigation. His experience spans state and federal court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, appellate work, and appearances before administrative agencies.

His case results include securing awards of multiple damages and attorneys’ fees under M.G.L. c. 93A, obtaining summary judgment in complex multi-claim actions, and successfully prosecuting arbitration proceedings through appeal. Mike graduated from Brandeis University and received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
