Jason T. Barber
Jason T. Barber is an experienced attorney licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who has counseled both individual and corporate clients. Jason is a versatile attorney who has gained substantive experience working in law firms as well as a corporate setting, working in-house.
Prior to joining Rodman Employment Law, Jason managed his own boutique practice splitting his time between litigation, corporate and intellectual property matters. Jason set himself apart by focusing on building strong, personal relationships with his clients, and implementing innovative solutions and arguments to each of his cases. Jason has been an advocate for his clients in courts throughout the Commonwealth and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Jason’s litigation experience has involved represented his clients in administrative and court proceedings, and when the timing is optimal—settling favorable outcomes through alternative dispute resolution, negotiation and mediation.
As a corporate attorney, Jason has drafted MSAs, SLAs, MTAs, Licensing Agreements, Shareholder Agreements, Stock Incentive Agreements, Promissory Notes, NDAs, and other commercial contracts. Jason has overseen intellectual property matters for his clients by managing a global trademark portfolio, registering trademarks and successfully appealing matters before the USPTO, and preparing cease and desist letters for the misuse of copyrighted material as well as the infringement of trademarks.
Jason received his juris doctor from Boston College Law School where he graduated with distinction. While a member of Boston College Law School, Jason was the founder of the first ever student-run incubator lab, helping seeding entrepreneurial companies and creators by providing free legal advice while bridging the gap between the law school and school of management. While in law school, Jason spent his summers working as a clerk for the Honorable Kenneth Fiandaca at the Roxbury Municipal Court and working for the intellectual property department of the law firm Day Pitney LLP., in Boston. Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Massachusetts where he was a member of the National Scholars Honor Society, the Order of Omega Honor Society, Psi-Chi National Honor Society and was awarded the Zeta Beta Tau – Outstanding Leadership Award.
Jason prefers to spend his personal time cycling, traveling and visiting his family and friends in Connecticut- where he was raised. He is a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics, is an advocate of social justice and has a desire to dedicate himself to local politics.
